Lymph Massage (Manual Lymphatic Drainage, MLD)
This is a gentle and rhythmic form of massage therapy that targets the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is responsible for removing waste materials, toxins, and excess fluids from the body. A lymph massage aims to stimulate the flow of lymph fluid throughout the body, aiding in the elimination of toxins and promoting better overall health.
The benefits of lymph massage are extensive. Firstly, it helps in boosting the immune system by increasing the production and circulation of lymphocytes, which are crucial for fighting infections and diseases. Secondly, lymph massage can reduce swelling and oedema by encouraging the removal of excess fluid from tissues. It might also aid in relief in conditions such as lymphedema, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome. Lymph massage promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and enhances the body’s natural detoxification process.
